Three ways to check your remaining balance — all free, all available right now.
The fastest way — check your Joker Card balance on the official cardholder portal. You'll need your card number.
Go to Cardholder Portal →Official website operated by Joker Card / Blackhawk Network
Visit cardholder.jokercard.ca and log in with your card number to see your current balance, transaction history, and expiry date.
Call the Joker Card customer service number printed on the back of your card:
You can also ask a cashier to check your balance during a purchase. However, note that cashiers cannot tell you your balance — they can only attempt to process a transaction and tell you if it was approved or declined.
Always check your balance online or by phone before making a large purchase to avoid declined transactions.
Always check your Joker Card balance before heading to checkout. If your balance is lower than your purchase total, the card will be declined — and the cashier won't know how much is left on it.
If your purchase exceeds your balance, tell the cashier before completing the transaction. Ask to charge the exact remaining amount to the Joker Card and pay the rest with another method.
Your Joker Card has an expiry date printed on it, but your funds never expire. If the card expires with a remaining balance, call customer service for a free replacement card with your balance transferred.
When you earn cashback at partner merchants, it's automatically added to your balance. Your online portal balance check will show the updated amount including any cashback earned.
